What is uber self driving cars exactly?

Self-driving car is basically the car without a driver. We can call it ‘Driverless car’. Uber have started the service for the riders in few cities.

Uber’s self-driving cars have some technical features which makes it more safe and better service. There are 20 cameras on the top of the car looking for the pedestrians or other obstacles. Top mounted Lidar beams create 3D maps of the car’s surroundings. A colored camera puts this map into the color that the car can see the traffic light changes. All the features are for safety reasons.
