Recently the payment method under Google Pay name is getting quite popular. It uses UPI as India has it on quite a popular stage. This has been quite popular because of its ease in use. A Google Pay Account can easily help you pay your bills, recharge your mobiles, book tickets for train or movies, pay insurance premium, or recharge your DTH account, you can also send the money into someone’s bank account, etc.

It’s okay for a person to not like Google Pay no matter how awesome it is. There could be a number of reasons like if it doesn’t work with your bag, or it doesn’t suit your connection or simply if you don’t like the interface. Here, we will guide you through with the steps of removing your Google Pay Account in just a few easy steps.

Follow the steps:

Here we consider that you have Google Pay App already installed. Click on the Google Pay App in your app drawer.

After opening, sign into the app if you have an account and haven’t signed in. Sign in can be done with your Mobile number and OTP verification.

On the home screen you will see your profile icon with your picture on it. This will be present on the right side top of your Mobile screen. From here, the process of removing your account on Google Pay starts.

You will see a tab named “Settings” in the middle of the screen below “Invite and Earn” and your bank details. Click on it.

You will see the “Privacy & Security” section on the next screen. This will also show details of your Google Pay account like UPI ID, name, and Mobile Number on the top. In the Privacy & Security section, click on “Close Account”. This will show you a pop up asking you to choose between “cancel and close”. After making sure about your intentions, click “close.”

After this, your task is done. And you must uninstall your Google Pay App.

  2. Sign In
  3. Click Your Profile
  4. Open Settings
  5. Select Close Account
  6. Uninstall the App
