YouTube allow its users to watch YouTube videos offline. When you want to watch YouTube videos, you need a good internet connection. If you have the less internet, then you watch video in low quality. So, Google added a new feature in YouTube app that you can download the video and watch it without any internet connection later.

Offline videos feature introduced only in Mobile app. it’s available in both Android and IOS devices.

  1. Open the app: Open ‘YouTube’ app in your phone. Android devices already have the inbuilt YouTube app and IOS device users need to download it from the app store.
  2. Search a video: At the top right corner, you can search videos in search tab. Write down and tap on search.
  3. Select the video: Select the video you want to download.
  4. Tap on ‘download’ option: Now you will see the download option below the video. Tap on it to make the video offline.
  5. Select the quality: Now choose the option for the video quality, you need in your offline video. You will see the options such as 1080p, 720p, 480p,360p,280p,140p etc. You can select it according to the size and the picture quality. Tap ok to confirm it. Your video is now downloading and after downloading, it’s offline for you.

You can watch the offline video without any internet connection. YouTube saves it for 30 days. After 30 days, you need to download the video again. 30 days are enough to watch a video.

How to find offline videos in YouTube app?

You have downloaded the videos and the videos are offline for you. If you want to watch your offline videos, then you can find it in your app easily. Your all offline videos are available in one section. Here are the quick steps:

  1. Open the app: Open your YouTube app.
  2. Tap on ‘library’: Tap on the ‘library’ option in the right corner at the bottom.
  3. Tap ‘downloads’: Tap the option of ‘downloads’ below the history option. Here you can see your all offline videos.

So, download your favorite videos and watch it later any time.
